Jammu, Apr 09 (KNO): Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly and senior Bharatiya Janat party (BJP) leader, Sunil Sharma on Wednesday said that the National Conference (NC) is trying to the shield their relatives and workers, who have encroached the Waqf land. Talking to reporters, Sharma as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that NC is least concerned about Waqf bill, but it is trying to divert the attention as the party wants to protect their relatives and workers, who have encroached the lands, calling it as a ‘Land Jihad’ in Kashmir. He added that the ‘land jihad’ is getting a legislative protection, which he said is a ‘Legislative Jihad’. Pertinently, the Legislative Assembly witnessed disruptions for the third straight day on Wednesday with the NC MLAs protesting over the Waqf Amendment Bill in the House while as the Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather has rejected the discussion over it, saying that the matter is already sub-judice—(KNO)
